Possible Envinronmental Design Suggestion?

Well, we've got a pair-ish of design ideas floating around, so I thought I might throw out an idea since we ain't got something concrete quite yet.

Keeping with the theme of the group, I'd suggest a zombie walk. We find some fairly public area (somewhere like in front of the bookstore) and affect the environment by throwing a little post-apocalyptia in there

We ourselves would be what is added to the environment to alter it, shuffling and moaning along, and seeing how people would react to it. I don't think we'd need any kind of permit to do something like this in some place like in front of the bookstore, but it could be considered some kind of protest (in fact, we could play it off as such, the idea that cutting stuff from the school is cutting our intelligence and making us brainless zombies), so we would need to see what kind of permission is required to protest on campus.

In terms of materials, we'd just need us and some makeup, although finding more people willing to go along with it would always be better. As for when, I have no idea, but probably at least two weeks from now, if not farther later.

Recap

This is the director please everyone hit the post at the following url it is very important for our project if you have not already I need you to comment it even if you have added your schedule and everything
http://thegeshow.blogspot.com/2009/05/business-important-post.html
So I have an idea for the environmental design but it still needs a lot of work. I was thinking we can go in the forest somewhere at UCSC and gather wood, twigs, logs...whatever we can find that is nature-y and make a statement with using them. We can make a statement about the departments being cut due to the budget cuts. I don't know, just an idea. What do you guys think?

who: the GE show

what: Tree bark, logs, twigs, wood..whatever can be found in the forest

when: Install when the group can get together and document at the same time; De-install after we are done documenting

where: Upper campus somewhere; Don't need permission and is accessible to everyone.

Re: Schedule

Hey guys sorry about the recent lack of blog posts I have been absolutely swamped, i will bring in my schedule on thursday

yup i posted this stuff...

More about meetings...

Hey all

In one of Mac's recent posts, he noted that everyone who has not done so already, needs to go to and list out their availability for the week. Anyone who decides not to do this by this coming friday will be removed from the group as it will become apparent that these individuals are not following the blog on a regular basis and are not showing a genuine interest in the group effort.

As of today, only 8 people (including myself) have posted up their schedules. I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but this is roughly only 50% of our group...not good! It only takes a few minutes and is very straight forward. Don't pay attention to the dates, just the days (i.e. on a typical Monday, what times are you free?).

Based on what we have so far, we will be meeting on Tuesdays at 9am at the science library (middle floor at one of the tables in the far right room - near the bathrooms). It is already looking like we're not going to be able to find a single time slot that works with everyone, so most likely a second meeting time will be set in addition to the Tuesday one. The hope is that between the two, everyone will be kept up to date.

Sound good? Cool.

Notes for The Metaphor

here are the notes for "the Metaphor"

as for my interview questions, they were pretty much the
same questions being asked by others...;)
1. what does it take to become a pilot?

and as for my enviromental project, how about a war like
setting, building collapsed and all that good
stuff...chaos and armageddon status or somethin, just
throwin ideas...or fields with sunsets, simple enough...
